13 augusztus 2014 - Rijeka, Riva street. In the 90s of XX century, Rijeka felt the painful decline in population - from 168 thousands to 144. A decrease of 24 thousand people was the largest among 7 biggest Croatian cities, which have more then 50 thousand residents. Probably it happened because of industrial changes and the decline in employment in ship industry. In addition, the city wasn`t (and still isn`t) particularly attractive to tourists, which could partly inhibit that fall.
