Electric tram motorcar Ce1/2 No 4 Vevey-Montreux-Chillon VMC 1888.
The VMC tram used the arrangement developed by Werner von Siemens in 1881. There were two overhead copper tubes, forming the two sides of the circuit, with slots in their undersides. The current was transferred to the tram by a pair of contacts on a sledge towed by twin insulated copper cables. The traction motor was situated between the axles and drove one of them through gear-wheels with herringbone-shaped teeth. The double-deck body was considered a special tourist attraction.

Tramwaj międzymiastowy VMC korzystał z rozwiązania zaproponowanego przez Siemensa w 1881 r. Prąd dostarczano do sieci przed dwie miedziane rury tworzące obwód (jedna odpowiadała za doprowadzanie, druga za odprowadzanie prądu), z których to rur prąd był dostarczany do tramwaju przez dwa odbieraki zakończone miedzianymi przewodami. Napęd przenoszony był z silnika zlokalizowanego między osiami za pomocą kół zębatych. Piętrowe pudło wagonu stało się atrakcją turystyczną.Lucerne, Verkehrshaus der Schweiz.

Elektrischer Strassenbahn-Motorwagen Ce1/2 Nr 4 Vevey-Montreux-Chillon VMC 1888.
Die Strassenbahn VMC war nach dem von Werner Siemens 1881 entwickelten Prinzip konstruiert: Das Oberleitungssystem be stand aus zwei anten geschlitzten Kupferrohren – je eines für die Hin- und Rückführung des Stroms -, in denen zwei Kontaktschlitten Glitter. Der Triebmotor sass zwischen den Achsen und war über ein Pfeilzahngetriebe mit diesel verbunden. Der zweistöckige Wagenkasten galt als besondere Touristenattraktion.
