16 február 2010 - Cairo, Midan Al-Sayyid Al-Mirghani. Cairo used to have two tram networks and a trolleybus network. The city centre network used to belong to the CTA, whereas the network in Heliopolis was managed by the company formed by Baron Empain. Somewhere along the way the CTA took over the entire network, but the differences in vehicle types are easily seen. This is probably one of the newest tram vehicles in Cairo - a result of the cooperation between Toshiba and Hitachi - as it rumbles past a square in Heliopolis.

16 február 2010 - Heliopolis (EG) - Midan al Sayyid al Mirghani. Cairo city tramways Hitachi cars #4261 and #4262 on a local service in Heliopolis. The Heliopolis system is now fully integrated with Cairo, although these ex-city trams now work only a handful of remaining former Cairo routes and don't run into central Cairo.
