11 január 2012 - Alexandria (Egipt), ulica Al Askandar Al Akbar. Linia 861. Najwyraźniej egipska cenzura internetu objęła również komunikację miejską, bowiem nigdzie w sieci nie sposób znaleźć informacji o tym pojeździe. Jedyne co udało się ustalić, to że silnik jest na gaz.

11 január 2012 - Alexandria (Egipt), Al Askandar Al Akbar. Wydawałoby się, że to zastawione samochodami żeberko jest od lat nieużywane. A jednak Kinki Sharyo postanowił z niego skorzystać czyniąc popłoch wśród właścicieli pojazdów.

11 január 2012 - Alexandria (Egipt), Al Askandar Al Akbar. Fotografowanie tramwajów w centrum egpiskiego miasta to loteria. Tym razem los był w miarę litościwy - nie wjechał samochód, nie wszedł pieszy, a do wykonania zdjęcia nie trzeba było wchodzić do najgłębszego miejsca kałuży.

11 január 2012 - Alexandria (Egipt), Al Askandar Al Akbar. W tym miejscu w lewo odłączał się kiedyś krótki łącznik wiodący przez główny miejski plac do pozostałej części sieci. Niestety po jego likwidacji układ linii tramwajowych w centrum zrobił się mocno kulawy, co w połączeniu z niskimi częstotliwościami czyni z tramwaju uciążliwą ciekawostkę przyrodniczą.

11 január 2012 - Aleksandria. Aleksandria nie jest ogromnym miastem - przejazd kilku km tramwajem potrafi jednak zająć dwie godziny... Na zdjęciu widać drogę z 4 pasami ruchu, na której rozłożył się "wolny handel". Gorzej jak miejsce wolnego handlu zajmują jadące w każdą możliwą stronę samochody. Na fragmencie szóstki jeżdżą dwukierunkowe Ganze - muszą, bo cześć linii jest nieprzejezdna - zawalił się dom.

19 február 2010 - Alexandria, El Nozha loop. One of the more interesting loops I have seen in my life. When it was decided that the shunt was not enough, the middle of the loop was filled by a block of flats. The tram thus turns around in a four-metre wide channel between a block of flats and a wall.

20 február 2010 - Alexandria, Tomourt. Due to trackworks between the railway station and Moharram Bey depot, the section between Moharram Bey and El Nozha was served by two shuttle routes. From Moharram Bey depot to Italy there is nowhere to switch tracks, so there are two trams shuttling back and forth, one on each track (one of these is in this picture). At Italy there is a triangle, where the shuttles to El Nozha turn around.

20 február 2010 - Alexandria (EG) – Muharram Bey. The Ganz cars are confined to a line in the outer suburbs of Alexandria, so aren’t seen in the city centre. This is another chaotic market area where the trams nose along through the stalls and street traders.

20 február 2010 - Alexandria (EG) – depot/zajezdnia Muharram Bey. Some pictures today for our Hungarian friends. The thirty attractive Ganz/Düwag trams are the newest in the Alexandria city fleet (although now twenty-five years old). They’ve worn very well, still look quite modern and are smooth and comfortable to ride in. I don’t know of any others built to this design – presumably this was a special order, just for Alexandria? Cars 1203+1204 stand in the small Muharram Bey depot.

The newest trams on the Alexandria city lines are thirty of these attractive Hungarian Ganz cars, with bogies by Düwag, which run in back-to-back coupled pairs. These trams are normally seen only on lines in the southern suburbs and not in the city centre.
